The invitation is to come and meet yourself.
The invitation is to come and meet yourself. To meet all the pieces of yourself and allow them to take up space within you. The pieces you are proud of and the ones that get way less praise. From the beginning of our lives we are taught to not trust ourselves. We learn that there is something wrong with us and that something should stay hidden. We learn that it is safer to give away our power to those around us who might be able to keep us safe. Then things happen and the false sense of security crumbles. Until we know and trust ourselves, we will continue to crumble too.
These “things that happen” are here to wake you up, but what are you waking up to? You can take your power or continue to give it away.
There are two ways to find lost dogs, lose a job, walk on the beach, bake your child a birthday cake – in heaven or hell. It is a false belief that choosing to do something gives you power. The choice to have power comes first and the doing follows.
